Slanted Square (Oakland)

Beast Nest, Flower Pattern and Slanted Square are three brown freaks from Oakland, CA that catalyze a comprehensive experience in experimental and ambient music. All three attempt a decolonial aesthetic that emphasize alternative attitudes on rhythm, texture, and environment. All three are a part of an all people of color performance and improvisation group called The MARA Performance Collective that explores radical politics and liberation through explorations of presence and deep listening. Also, they cute.
