Beast Nest, Flower Pattern and Slanted Square are three brown freaks from Oakland, CA that catalyze a comprehensive experience in experimental and ambient music. All three attempt a decolonial aesthetic that emphasize alternative attitudes on rhythm, texture, and environment. All three are a part of an all people of color performance and improvisation group called The MARA Performance Collective that explores radical politics and liberation through explorations of presence and deep listening.
